On Sunday, May 23, Maharashtra Tourism Minister Aaditya Thackeray inspected various works being carried out in Mumbai suburbs by MMRDA. Besides, he also inspected the developmental work of the underground tanks that are being constructed at Pramod Mahajan Udyan, Hindmata Flyover, St. Xavier's Ground.
As the Maharashtra government is gearing up for the third wave of coronavirus, Thackeray inspected the ongoing work of the COVID care centre constructed by MMRDA at Malad Mindspace area in one of the open ground.
Taking it to Twitter, Thackeray wrote: “I visited the upcoming covid care centre at Malad, along with my colleague minister Aslam Shaikh and MMRDA Commissioner RA Rajiv, as we prepare for the possible 3rd wave, we are increasing our medical response infrastructure.”

This well-equipped dedicated COVID-19 Hospital is being set up to provide adequate treatment facilities for coronavirus patients. long with ample bed facility and ICU provision for the treatment of critical patients, it will also have a waiting area, parking facility for an ambulance and other vehicles.
Moreover, the minister also visited a landslide zone site, where MMRDA is redoing and strengthening the WEH after a full technical report. “I visited the site to see the progress of the work that will be completed pre-monsoon and then post monsoon to ensure the safety of people,” said Thackeray.

Later, Aaditya Thackeray inspected the Kalanagar flyover, which is under construction, for the North Bound arm to be completed before monsoon. The flyover will decongest the Kalanagar junction, ensure a smooth flow in and out of BKC.

Aaditya Thackeray also instructed the MMRDA officials to expedite the work before the arrival of monsoon season. MMRDA Additional Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. K. H. Govindraj, Joint Commissioner B. G. Pawar and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
