A special court for Prevention of Corruption Act on Tuesday gave a clean chit to Congress leader Kripashankar Singh and his family members. Singh was charged with illegally possessing assets worth 330 crores.

The court gave a clean chit to Kripashankar Singh’s wife Maltidevi, his son Narendra Mohan, daughter Sunita, son-in-law Vijay Singh.

Ahead of Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections, the release of the Congress leader, there is a wave of happiness in the party. It has come out that Kripashankar Singh will soon be active in politics and it would definitely benefit the Congress.

The Congress leader, along with his family, was accused of having disproportionate assets – of collecting more assets than his income. A case was filed under Prevention of Corruption Act but the investigating agency could not present strong evidence against Kripashankar Singh in the charge sheet.
