In a press conference held in Ayodhya, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced the construction of Maharashtra Bhavan in Ayodhya city, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ramchandra. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is on a two-day tour of the state of Uttar Pradesh and on Sunday he visited the birthplace of Lord Ramchandra in Ayodhya. In a press conference held thereafter, he announced that he would build Maharashtra Bhavan in Ayodhya.


Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that he himself was making efforts to compensate the farmers for the loss caused by the unseasonal rains in the state. The atmosphere of Ayodhya is devotional and the atmosphere of the sanctum sanctorum of Shri Ram temple gives a feeling of divine energy. He also said that the construction of the temple would be completed in January 2024 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.


Earlier, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited the birthplace of Lord Ramchandra. He then went to the Jain temple and met other senior sages and mahants after having darshan of Lord Mahavira. Similarly, he supervised the construction of the temple. A large number of Maharashtra Ministers, MPs, MLAs and devotees were present on the occasion.
