Mumbai – The Bill regarding Balasaheb Thackeray Memorial was passed unanimously in the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. But the most shocking was the absence of Shiv Sena ministers and MLAs in the House. Dilip Walse Patil brought this to the notice of the House.

Minister of State for urban development Ranjit Patil presented this bill in the Assembly on Tuesday. The Congress, BJP, MNS, and NCP gave unanimous consent to the bill which allocated the Mayor’s bungalow for Thackeray’s memorial.
NCP leader Jayant Patil said that the BJP did not take the Sena ministers into confidence while presenting this bill in the House. He also said that it would have been nice if the chief minister had presented this bill.

It is to be mentioned here that the BJP had included this memorial in its election manifesto while Raj Thackeray-led MNS has always opposed the construction of memorials but his party member MLA Rajabhau Waze gave his support to this bill.
