Mumbai - The BJP announced its final list of 195 candidates on Thursday midnight, leaving 32 seats for its allies. Of these, 11 will be picked up by the RPI (Athavale group).
BJP's first list has 117 candidates who are Maharashtrian. Of these, the new entrants to the party are Prabhakar Shinde, Nana Ambole, his wife Tejaswini, Bablu Panchal and his wife Anita, who have all been given tickets. Incumbent corporator Dnyanmurti Sharma, his wife Sangeeta, Ramesh Singh and his son Sagar who defected from the Congress to the BJP have also been given a ticket. MLA Pravin Darekar, his brother Prakash Darekar, MLA Parag Alavani and his wife Jyoti have also been given tickets. Shrikala Pillai, who defected from the Congress to the BJP, has also received a ticket. Dr Gajendra Bhanji who joined the party recently has been offered tickets for his son Dr Jayendra and daughter Dr Priya Bhanji.
