Mumbai – Country’s richest civic body, BMC announced the budget for the year 2017-18. The total size of the budget tabled is worth Rs 25,141 crore. This year’s budget is less significant in comparison to last year’s budget which was worth Rs 37,052 crore.
Key points of the budget -
Rs 1,000 crore for Coastal Project
Rs 130 for Goregaon Mulund Link Road (GMLR) Project
Rs 74 crore for nullah-cleaning
Rs 1895 crore for education
Rs 26.80 crore for playgrounds
Rs 70 crore for gardens
Rs 50.25 crore for construction of Byculla Zoo
Rs 1095 crore for road repair
