Braille book on Covid-19 awareness released at Raj Bhavan

Maharashtra State Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, on Monday, August 23, 2021, released a Braille book on Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its remedy. The event was held at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. 

As per reports, the book published in Hindi has been authored by Sarp Mitra and the District Commissioner of Scout and Guide, Bharat Joshi. Both the authors have worked on the same with an aim to create awareness about COVID-19 among the visually impaired persons. Three visually impaired girls demonstrated their Braille book reading skills on the occasion.

A few days back, he also presented diploma certificates to 17 visually impaired students during the convocation ceremony of the NAB Perfumery College. The two-year program was designed in association with the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) and CPL Aromas Pvt Ltd. Present at the ceremony were President of NAB India Hemant Takale, Vice Chancellor of YCMOU Prof. E. Vayunandan, General Secretary, NAB Satya Kumar Singh, General Manager of CPL Aromas Pvt. Ltd. Ranjit Agarwal and Executive Director of NAB Pallavi Kadam.

Besides this, Governor Koshyari also felicitated 51 entrepreneurs and business leaders from different parts of Maharashtra for their contribution in supporting and boosting state's economy during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is being said that he also complimented the entrepreneurs and business houses for not laying off their workers or slashing their wages in tough times. The felicitation event was organised by Tarun Bharat. 

The Governor also released a volume ‘Covid Yoddha Udyojak 51’ that highlights the good work done by the entrepreneurs on the occasion. Editor in Chief of the daily Kiran Shelar and Business Head Raviraj Bavadekar were present with the Governor at the occasion. 

The list of people who were felicitated included Mahesh Khedkar, Prabodh Thakkar, Jayashree Mangesh Katkar, Dinesh Pratap Singh, Dr Dhananjay Rane, Suresh Kute, Archana Suresh Kute, Vinod Agrawal, Bipin Shah, and Ankaji Patil.
