The episode of politicians shifting loyalties started ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha elections and it seems never-ending. With the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections, several leaders from the opposition parties have been either inducted in the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or their political allies Shiv Sena.

Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (BVA) MLA Vilas Tare on Sunday joined Shiv Sena in the presence of party chief Uddhav Thackeray. Tare was elected as a legislator from Boisar on the BVA ticket. The speculations came to an end after Tare tied ‘Shiv Bandhan’ on his hand.

I am joining Shiv Sena in the interest of the voters. I started my political career as a Shiv Sena worker,” informed MLA Vilas Tare.

In other speculation, senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Bhaskar Jadhav might join Shiv Sena as well. Jadhav has a strong influence in Ratnagiri, a district in Konkan region. The speculations tightened after Jadhav supposedly met Uddhav Thackeray at Matoshree.
