Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Narayan Rane on Wednesday evening met CM Devendra Fadnavis at the latter’s residence. The political speculations suggest that Maharashtra Swabhimaan Paksh (MSP) supremo Narayan Rane may join Bharatiya Janata Party (BP) ahead of the upcoming state assembly polls.

This happens after Rane expressed his disappointment that the BJP has failed to induct him into the party. Rane, a sitting MP in Rajya Sabha, said that there is a certain limit to waiting and the BJP has not fulfilled its promises made to him.

Rane further informed that he will take a call in the next 10 days whether to continue with his party or join BJP. It is being speculated that if BJP inducts Rane, Shiv Sena might get disappointed.

The MSP chief has a stronghold in parts of Konkan region in Maharashtra. Rane had earlier expressed his wish to join BJP and if instated, the BJP might field the senior politician from Konkan region in the upcoming state assembly elections.
