The Congress party has set up a committee comprising senior leaders to monitor whether the election process is conducted in a free and fair environment and impartially. This committee will first review the confusion of voter lists in the Maharashtra Assembly elections.


The party has formed an action group 'Eagle' to monitor the election process. The action group will monitor whether elections are conducted in a free and open environment by the Election Commission. Leaders Ajay Maken, Digvijay Singh, Abhishek Manu Sanghvi, Praveen Chakraborty, Pawan Khera, Gurdeep Singh Sappal, Nitin Raut, Challa Vansi Chand Reddy have been included in this action team. The committee is going to investigate the confusion in the voter lists during the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Nitin Raut from the state has been appointed in this committee.

'How did the number of voters increase?' In the five-year period from 2019 to 2024, 32 lakh new voters were registered in the state. But the Congress has taken up the issue of registration of 48 lakh voters in just six months after the Lok Sabha elections. Congress has asked how the number of 48 lakh voters increased in just six months. Apart from getting information about this mess in Maharashtra, this action group will also keep an eye on the future election process.
