Contenders for Mayorship?

Mumbai – Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janta Party broke the 25 years alliance, they put up a hard fought battle and indeed the result was a cliffhanger. Now everything depends on the third party who will favour either of these two in forming a government to run the municipal corporation.

Who will become the mayor and most importantly he/she will represent which party? Shiv Sena candidates Yasodhar Phanse and Trishna Vishwasrao end up on loosing side. Those who are emerging as the probable mayor candidates from Sena are Kishori Pednekar, Rajul Patel, Shubda Gudekar and Mangesh Satamkar.

BJP’s mayor candidate Manoj Kotak emerged victorious. Meanwhile, those who are looked upon as Deputy Mayor candidates are Alka Kerkar and Shailaja Girkar.
