Nariman Point – The squad of State Election Commission had seized cash of Rs 91.50 lakh from the vehicle belonging to state co-operative minister Subhash Deshmukh’s Lok Mangal Group. Deshmukh is being a clean chit by district collector. The NCP will take this issue to the court, said NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik. “It was the responsibility of the government to register a case of money laundering against Subhash Deshmukh under the PMLA as Deshmukh was trying to turn this black money into white,” alleged Malik. The government is trying to save Deshmukh by giving him a clean chit from an officer of his own department. The true face of BJP has come to fore by this episode and hence chief minister should immediately dismiss Deshmukh from his cabinet, demanded the NCP spokesperson.
