EC announces dates for elections in 5 states

Mumbai- Election Commission has announced election date for the State Legislative Assemble elections for UP, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur. Elections will be held in 7 phases in UP, 2 phases in Manipur and rests of the state there will election for the first phase. The first day of voting will start on 4th February and the last day of voting will be on 8th March. And the vote counting will be held on 11th of March.

Voting will take place as follow
UP (403 Seats)
The first phase- 73 seats, 15 Districts.
Notification: 17 January
Notifications last date is 24
Scrutiny of nominations 25 January
Withdrawal of Nomination will be on 27 January
Election 11 February.

The second phase covers 67 seats, 11 districts.
Notification 20 January
Nomination’s date is 27 January
Scrutiny of nominations is on 28 January
Withdrawal of Nomination will be on 30 January
Election 11 February.

The third phase covers 69 seats, 12 districts
Notification will be on 24 January
Nomination’s date is 31st January
Scrutiny of nominations is on 2 February
Withdrawal of Nomination will be on 4 February
The election is on 19th February.

The fourth phase covers 53 seats, 12 districts
Notification is on 30 January
Nomination’s date is 6th February
Scrutiny of nominations is on 7th February
Withdrawal of Nomination will be on 9 February
Election is on 23rd February

The fifth phase covers for 52 seats, 11 districts
Notification 2 February
Date of nomination 9 February
Scrutiny of nomination will be held on 11 February
Withdrawal nomination will be held on 13 February
The election on 23rd February.

The sixth phase covers for 49 seats, 7 districts
Notification 8th February
Date of nomination 15 February
Scrutiny of nomination will be held on 16 February
Withdrawal nomination will be held 18 February.
The election on 4th March.

The seventh phase covers for 40 seats, 7 December
Notification 11th February
