The BJP and Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) have announced a joint protest march. The march will be aimed at Uddhav Thackeray's mansion, Matoshree, located in Bandra (East). This protest is in response to Thackeray's resistance to the Dharavi redevelopment project. The exact date of the protest is yet to be determined.

It will begin at Dharavi's "T" junction. The protest comes after Thackeray's recent demonstration at the Adani Group's offices in BKC. That demonstration was supported by Congress too.

Ashish Shelar, the president of the City BJP, had accused Thackeray of stalling Mumbai's growth. He had claimed that the Shiv Sena (UBT) has a negative attitude towards development projects.

Thackeray, on the other hand, had raised concerns about the rule requiring builders to purchase 40% of their TDR requirement from Adani. He alleged that this rule is against Mumbai's interests and that the Shinde government is favouring Adani.

The Adani Group has responded by pointing out that it was Uddhav Thackeray, the chief minister of the MVA government, who initiated the Dharavi reconstruction project. The BJP then accused Thackeray of politicising the issue of redevelopment.

The BJP has also accused the Sena (UBT) of changing its stance. Kiran Pavaskar, the spokesperson for Shiv Sena (Shinde), has also criticised Thackeray for not supporting the Dharavi project.
