Independent OBC ministry created

Mumbai- The OBC department has moved out of the shadow of the department of social welfare and will now be an independent ministry.
The decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting on Tuesday. A committee under the stewardship of the chief secretary has been created for the formation of the same. The new department will have 53 posts. This department will focus on OBC issues, thus fulfilling a long standing demand from the OBC communities.
