Many important decisions have been approved in the cabinet meeting of the Maharashtra government. The name of Ahmednagar city will be Punyashlok. It has also been decided to name it Ahilya Devi Nagar.

Important issues of cabinet meeting
- Updated Marathi language policy was announced for the promotion of Marathi language.
- Substantial increase in the salary of police patil. Now they will receive INR 15k per month.
- Approval to rename Ahmednagar city as Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Nagar.
- With the help of the Centre, fire service in small towns will be strengthened. INR 153 crore state shares approved.
- Maharashtra state will build a guest house near Srinagar. A plot of two and a half acres will be used
