While NCP's Ajit Pawar and eight of his MLAs were inducted in the Shinde-Fadnavis government in the state, a question mark remained unanswered as to when the Shiv Sena and BJP MLAs would be inducted into the cabinet. Giving relief to the BJP-Shiv Sena MLAs, CM Eknath Shinde said on Tuesday that the cabinet would be expanded within a week.
Shinde, however, sidestepped a question on which party would get how many seats in the cabinet, saying none of the MLAs were disgruntled and even asked reporters if anyone had called him. Asked whether he felt there would be a split within the Congress as well, Shinde said all the vacancies were already filled.
