Maharashtra Navnirnam Sena (MNS) is once again taking aggressive steps towards the toll issue. The Raj Thackeray led party MNS will start a mass movement on the issue of toll. The toll prices are going to increase at Anand Nagar toll booth in Thane from October 1 and MNS has become aggressive on this issue.

From October 1, the MNS is going to protest at Anand Nagar toll booth in Thane. The increased rates will be applicable at Anand Nagar toll booth from October 1. MNS has adopted an aggressive stance against this.

The issue of toll has been on the radar of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena since the formation of the party. MNS has often been protesting on the issue of toll. MNS is also continuously claiming that 65 toll booths have been closed in Maharashtra due to MNS's agitation.

A few days ago, when the convoy of MNS youth leader Amit Thackeray was coming from Nashik, due to the behaviour meted out to MNS workers by the toll workers, the MNS workers became aggressive and broke the toll booth located at Sinnar.

MNS says that many assurances were given, many movements took place, but this issue of toll is not resolving. When Eknath Shinde was a PWD minister he assured that he would make Thane toll-free, however, when he became CM of Maharashtra, instead of toll free Thane, we are now made to pay extra at toll, expressed MNS leader Avinash Jadhav.
