Respected Yashwantrao Chavan's name is shining all over the country as a personality born in the soil of Maharashtra and preserving Sanskritism in the political field.
Yashwantrao Chavan has increased the respect of Maharashtra as a leader, eloquent, good administrator. Maharashtra is proud of this. The 'Mangalkalash' of building United Maharashtra was brought by the efforts of Yashwantrao himself. His career as Home Minister, Deputy Prime Minister of the country is glorious. Such a personality can be adequately honoured only by giving 'Bharat Ratna'. For this, the state government should make a unanimous recommendation and honour Yashwantrao Chavan by posthumously awarding him 'Bharat Ratna', Chavan said in this statement.
