No retirement from politics: Sharad Pawar
SHARES

Sharad Pawar, national president of the Nationalist Congress Party, strongly rejected the discussion on his retirement from the politics and indicated that he still has the capacity and confidence to take on his political opponents.

Pawar, who has completed glorious 50 years in the Parliamentary politics, politely rejected the question on his candidature in the President’s election. While addressing media here on Tuesday, Pawar reiterated his stand to serve the country through active politics. Pawar also said that he likes President’s ‘Haweli’ (Rashtrapati Bhavan). If one goes to stay in that Haweli, he/she cannot meet the media persons, complained the NCP chief.

The name of Sharad Pawar is making rounds for the Presidential candidate either from the ruling alliance or from the opposition parties. He has been steadily refusing the discussion and this has further strengthened his stake in this election. The long political career of Pawar points towards the fact that he is a master of this game and things happen the opposite way than what he says. Pawar very well knows that his statement will be taken the way he wants.
