Mumbai- BMC is been dodging the potholes issue for the last three to four months,by postponing the date of refilling them. However, now, BMC has decided to get away with the potholes by Diwali festival. This was assured by BMC's assistant commissioner Sanjay Deshmukh to MNS when they protested outside the BMC against the arrest of corporator Sandeep Deshpande and Santosh Dhuri. They also asked to fill up the potholes.

MNS Shalini Thackeray, Nitin Sardesai, Avinash Abhyankar, Ameya Khopkar, Dilip Lande met the concerned officials to talk about the potholes issue. MNS threatened that if the potholes are not filled out by Diwali, then they will burst the crackers in the BMC officials home. They also asked to take action against the engineers who are responsible for the bad roads.

A few days back, MNS corporator Sandeep Deshpande and Santosh Dhuri made the engineer stand with a placard which enraged the engineers, further demanding for the former's arrest. However, BMC officials alleged MNS corporators of mocking the arrest issue, as at first they denied the bail then they went for it.
