Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) state president Sunil Tatkare participated in a 'signature campaign' in Pune. State President of NCP Women's Wing Rupali Chakankar was also present in this program. Thousands of people signed a board which read 'I support Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana and want it to continue for the next 5 years.'

He further said, “Ajit Dada, along with Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde and Aditi Tatkare, launched a revolutionary plan after a girl committed suicide due to non-payment of 50% fees. Now, for families with annual income up to INR 8 lakh, the state government will bear the cost of higher education of daughters under the Mulina Moffat Education Scheme."

In the last few days, the party's frontal organisations including the Youth and Mahila Morcha have organised various unique programs to connect with the voters. Youth leader Suraj Chavan has organised signature campaigns in various constituencies of the state. He led the campaign in Vadgaon Sheri Assembly, which was also joined by MLA Sunil Tingre, Pune City President Deepak Bhau Mankar, and Pune Youth City President Sameer Dada Chandere. A white flex banner was put up outside various mandals, where a large number of people signed in support of continuing the scheme.

On 11 September, Suraj Chavan organised another signature campaign at various places in Pimpri Assembly constituency. Earlier, on September 5, Maharashtra Women Commission Chairperson and NCP State Mahila Morcha President Rupali Chakankar had also organised this campaign in Pune.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who is also the state finance minister, had launched the ambitious Majhi Ladki Baheen scheme in this year's budget, which provides financial assistance of INR 1,500 to women. Other front organisations of the party, such as Chhatra Morcha, Cultural Morcha, Social Justice Morcha and Minority Morcha have also been entrusted with the task of organising this campaign in various assembly constituencies of the state.

Sunil Tatkare also appealed to the people to support the party in the upcoming assembly elections.

"The opposition feared the 'Majhi Behan Yojana' and said that ₹1,500 is not enough, but they are wrong. This amount means a lot in the lives of many women. A mother, who was not able to buy sanitary pads, now can provide this facility to the daughter,” said Rupali Chakankar.

Addressing the huge gathering in the program, Rupali Chakankar said, “The opposition is upset with this initiative and is calling it just a ploy for the upcoming elections. They say INR 1,500 is not enough, but for many women this amount could be significant. For example, a mother, who was unable to buy sanitary pads, can now provide sanitary pads and also school fees for her daughter.” He also added that “Women in Pimpri Chinchwad used INR 3,000 received under the Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme to celebrate Gauri Ganpati Utsav and were happy that they did not have to ask for money from their husbands.” She appealed to the voters to vote for MLA Chetan Tupe in the upcoming elections and make him win.

NCP Maharashtra State President Sandhya Sonawane and NCP District President Balasaheb Nahta were also present in this program. A 'Rangoli Competition' was also organised in Mohol assembly constituency of Solapur district, in which people made beautiful rangoli of various schemes.
