There’s a strong possibility that UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray will face off against Shiv Sena’s Milind Deora in the Worli Assembly. He has given a hint of joining Shiv Sena by a cryptic tweet on his official X account. Initially the Shiv Sena did not fix the name but now it seems Milind Deora's name has been finalised.
Raj Thackeray's party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has given ticket to Sandeep Deshpande from Worli seat. MVA and Mahayuti too want to make Aaditya Thackeray and Milind Deora fight to woo Maratha voters.
In the 2019 assembly elections, Aaditya Thackeray won from this constituency with a huge margin. There were talks of fielding Shania NC by Shiv Sena but with Deora’s tweet, it has become clear that the latter has been finalised.
Shiv Sena's second list will be released by the night of October 25 or the morning of October 26.
