Uddhav gets Shah’s invitation for NDA meeting

BJP president Amit Shah has invited Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray to the meeting of the NDA scheduled to be held on April 10 in New Delhi. Shah telephoned Thackeray on Thursday night and extended the invitation.

On Thursday, Sena MP Sanjay Raut had threatened that if Central government fails to take a decision on the issue of Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad, the party would boycott the NDA meeting. Soon after this, Shah ringed Thackeray.

The scheduled NDA meeting is considered crucial as the BJP needs votes of alliance partners in the President’s election.

The Sena is reportedly angry at the Central government for badly handling Ravindra Gaikwad-Air India issue. The Parliament experienced the wrath of Sena MPs on Thursday but the BJP-led Union government has started taking mild stance looking at the election for the President’s post.
