Dindoshi - "Everybody is a lion in his den. Come out of it and prove that you are one," Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray threw down the gauntlet at his political opponents at a rally here on Sunday.

"Neither PM Narendra Modi nor CM Devendra Fadnavis went for in for a surgical strike. Soldiers were not given the due credit they deserve," he added. Thackeray was addressing the rally organised at the Veer Savarkar ground in Dindoshi.

The Bharatiya Janata Party and prime minister Narendra Modi gave the green signal to the Mumbai Metro project, but the court has put a dampener on the project, he alleged. Thackeray slammed the PM, commenting that Modi is only spreading lies. Thackeray expressed confidence that his party will win 125 seats in the municipal elections on its own strength. The Sena chief ended the speech saying,"We will sweep the polls on our own strength."
