Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sunday said that voting for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will mean “dropping a nuclear bomb on Pakistan”.

While addressing a rally in Mira-Bhayander, Maurya said that the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana will be the first polls in the country after Narendra Modi government removed Article 370 (special status to Jammu and Kashmir).

Voting for lotus (BJP’s symbol) will not only benefit Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnaivs but will also mean that a nuclear bomb will get dropped on Pakistan by itself,” said UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya.

Maurya was addressing an election rally while campaigning for BJP candidate Narendra Mehta and said that this vote is not for Mehta alone but for the leadership of PM Modi and CM Fadnavis.

The upcoming polls will reveal people’s ‘Rashtra bhakti’ (patriotism) and are important because they are the first polls to happen in the country after the abrogation of Article 370,” Maurya asserted.
