Mumbai – State finance minister Sudhir Mungantiwar presented the state budget in Legislative Assembly on Saturday. Here is a brief list of important decisions announced for the development of Mumbai.
- MahaInfra, a special purpose vehicle, to be formed for the development of basic infrastructure.
- Allocation of Rs 211 crore for providing quality health services in cities.
- Total computerization of the PDS system.
- City scan machines to be installed in selected 31 hospitals.
- Rs 200 crore allocated for construction of proposed memorials of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Balasaheb Thackeray.
- Rs 17.32 crore for development of Marathi language.
- City to get Rs 1605 crore under Central government’s Swachhata Abhiyan.
- 50% funds for construction of jetties at Gorai, Bhayander, Vasai, Ghodbundar and other four places.
