Maharashtra Legislature's Winter session adjourned

Both houses of the winter session of the Legislature were adjourned today with the national anthem. Assembly Speaker Advocate. Rahul Narvekar and Legislative Council Vice President Dr. Neelam Gore said that the next session will be held in Mumbai on February 26, 2024. On this occasion, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and members of the legislature were present.


Meanwhile, 101 hours and 10 minutes of work was actually accomplished in the Assembly in this session. The average daily work was 10 hours 5 minutes. The average attendance of members in this session was 93.33 percent, while the minimum attendance was 64.71 percent, the total average attendance was 81, which was 69 percent.


A total of 7581 starred questions were received in the session. Of them, 247 were accepted, while 34 questions were answered. Two topics were briefly discussed in the session. A total of 2414 interesting suggestions were received in the session. Of them, 337 were accepted, while 70 excellent suggestions were discussed.

In this session, 17 government bills were introduced in the Assembly and 17 were passed. A bill from the last session was also passed. 3 suggestions were discussed under Rule 293. A total of 263 non-government solution suggestions were received. Of these, 187 suggestions were accepted. In this session, the total number of meetings of the House in the Legislative Council was 10, actual work was 71 hours 09 minutes, average daily work was 7 hours 06 minutes and the presence of members in the entire House was the highest. The session was 95.55 per cent, minimum attendance was 60 per cent and overall average attendance was 82.36 per cent.


Starred questions in which the number of questions received is 1819 and the number of accepted questions is 452, the number of answered questions is 47. The number of proposals received under Rule 289 is 42. Notable Suggestions: The number of suggestions received is 623, the number of accepted suggestions is 142 and the number of suggestions discussed is 30.


Out of the special mention notices, the number of notices received is 119 and the number of notices laid and tabled in the House is 133. Total justification point received 115, brief discussion under Rule 97: Number of suggestions received 26, Number of accepted suggestions 25, Suggestions discussed are more than five.
