Maharashtra: 'Aamchi Mulgi' website launched to stop female foeticide

'Aamchi Mulgi’ website is being launched in the state to register complaints for gender diagnosis, increase sex ratio and stop female foeticide. This website will help in effective implementation of Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prevention of Sex Selection) Act 1994 as amended Act 2003 (PCPNDT and MTP) in the State.

PCPNDT and MTP have been ordered to execute various schemes to successfully implement various initiatives and measures for effective implementation of the Act. Accordingly, a new website http://amchimulgimaha.in/ has been launched for effectively implementing the Pre-conception and Prenatal Diagnostic Techniques (Prevention of Sex Selection) Act 1994 amended Act 2003 and for registering complaints in the State for Women Prevention Its being done. 


Any complaint lodged on this website will remain confidential and the complainant can also register his name if he wishes. After disposal of the complaint, a case will be registered under PCPNDT Act against the persons carrying out gender diagnosis. If the complaint is acted upon and successful in stopping female foeticide, the complainant will be given a reward of INR 1 lakh under the Khabari Bakshis Scheme through the government.
