The young girl's story began when Hollywood actor Robert Hoffman discovered her during a visit to the Dharavi Slum. Impressed by her, Hoffman took it upon himself to create a Go Fund Me page to support Maleesha financially. 

Maleesha quickly gained popularity on social media. Her Instagram account attracted over 225K followers, earning her the title of the "Princess of the slum." Despite her humble background, Maleesha entered the field of fashion and film. Maleesha's first notable achievement was starring in a short film titled "Live Your Fairytale," where she showcased her acting skills. 

Forest Essentials, known for its commitment to social causes, recognised Maleesha as a true embodiment of their values. The luxury beauty company chose her as the face of their latest campaign. Forest Essentials released a video featuring Maleesha visiting one of their stores, narrating her incredible journey and the importance of pursuing one's dreams. The video has accumulated over 410K likes and positive comments.
