Every woman has tremendous energy within herself, which is utilised as the situation unfolds. And women should use this energy towards getting an education because it's only through education that will women gain confidence, said MLC of Nashik Graduate Constituency Satyajeet Tambe.

Tambe who is always thinking beyond politics has started a series called 'Get Inspired'. In the sixth episode of this series, Tambe recently interacted with Bharti Bhagat from Ahmednagar and Pramila Abhang. From these chats, an attempt was made to put a spotlight on the struggle of these two women to get education.

Pramila is a two-time former corporator of Sangamner, a small village in Maharashtra who went on to study MA in Political Science and another is a 54-year-old woman who scored 54% in the recently-announced SSC examination results.

Bhartitai said, "After passing the seventh standard, I got married and had children soon after. Although I enjoyed raising them, the feeling that it is necessary to pass the 10th standard was always playing on my mind," she said.

Bharatitai knew the importance of education. Pramilatai did not realise the importance at first. Even she got married after passing the seventh standard. Pramilatai's mother regretted not being able to teach him further due to the situation at home.

Her mother made up for the fact that she could not give Pramilatai a formal education by enrolling her in a sewing class. Pramilatai was also given a sewing machine by her mother and was taught to be independent. One day while watching TV she heard MLA Satyajit Tambe's thoughts and was motivated to pursue her education. Pramilatai's husband fully supported her in this. The post of corporator in her ward was reserved for women and then Pramilatai got the ticket from her husband's seat. She was elected as a corporator.

Bharti Bhagat also fully agreed with Tambe's statement that education gives confidence. She said, "I have completed my education by going to night school. I could have given the 10th exams directly after filling out SSC board application number 17. But since I wanted to complete my education in a systematic manner, I cleared every class after 7th and went up to class 10th. I studied after doing all the household work. During all this, my husband supported me a lot. My daughter had come home during the last days of her pregnancy which clashed with my board exams. Her baby cried a lot throughout the night. When he got some sleep, I sat down to study. Then gradually my daughter helped me with revision by taking my reading and writing practice. There was a lot of stress while solving the actual question paper. But I had determination in my heart, that's why I was able to pass with good marks," narrated Bhagat.

MLA Satyajit Tambe saluted the determination of both these women through the series- Get Inspired. In this digital interview, Tambe said that women should become politically as well as financially literate. Tambe also pointed out that through education one gets confidence and decision-making ability.
