Asha climbed the 60 to 80 degrees steep elevated steps of the fort in her first attempt at trekking, and for the unaware, this stretch of the trek has been marked as 'highly difficult' by many trekkers.

Reports state that several do not choose this path due to the elevation, however, this elderly lady had the will to climb this part, and motivated several others were trekking on that day.

In an interview with the BBC, Asha stated that she usually stays fit by exercising regularly. However, this was the first time that she chose to trek as both her sons are into it for a long time now. It was out of curiously and sheer Interest that she decided to join them, as her sons encouraged that she could do it. She gave it a try and eventually succeeded in the same.
