According to the latest reports, a Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) bus driver and conductor saved the life of a five-year-old boy. It has been reported that on Wednesday, March 23, afternoon, the boy, Shivam Parker was rushed to a hospital after he suffered from a seizure while waiting for the bus at a bus stop. 

Based on accounts, the driver, Appasaheb Lohar and conductor Kishore Dane in a grand gesture even offered to pay for the boy's treatment with the money collected from the fare, however, the hospital authorities, as well as the child's parents, refrained from accepting the same.

Lohar and Dane took Parker who with his mother, Pooja Parker was waiting at the bus stop, to the hospital, highlighted narratives. The bus was plying on route number 33 between Goregaon and Nehru Planetarium when the boy and mother were seen. 

Seeing the boy suffering from seizures, passengers inside the BEST were asked to disembark and the duo took the boy and his mother to a hospital in Dadar. Following this heroic effort by the BEST employees, Lokesh Chandra, General Manager, BEST, invited Lohar and Dane, to his office and felicitated them. 

Chandra was quoted in reports, elaborating on how the duo went out of their way to save the child's life and was able to reach the hospital on time.
