According to the latest reports, on June 7 a heart was transported from Vadodara to Mumbai and transplanted into another patient in the city hospital, Global Hospitals in a span of a mere 2.22 hours.

Based on accounts, a team from the hospital in Parel operated in a hospital in Vadodara to harvest the heart. It was then sent to the hospital in the city for a successful transplant that helped save a life. It has been reported that a team from IndiGo cautiously transported the live heart to Mumbai from Vadodara. 

Vivek Talaulikar, CEO of Global Hospitals was quoted in narratives elaborating on how the heart transplant went off well and brought to life that the patient is recovering. He hopes that the patient will be discharged next week. 

On the other hand, the chief executive officer of IndiGo, Ronojoy Dutta added how they were honoured to support the medical team in transferring the heart to the recipient in a timely manner by means of safe and efficient logistics. He went on to congratulate the airport staff and crew members in Mumbai and Vadodara to have contributed to it. 

Earlier, the airline had assisted in transporting a pair of lungs to Hyderabad from Pune on May 20, for which a green corridor was made in Pune and Hyderabad.
