Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre organised JHPL (Jaslok Hospital Premier League). The event was uniquely designed and was an exclusive box cricket championship played amongst curated teams of enthusiastic doctors and hospital management professionals at Bombay Catholic Gymkhana.  50 kids from YMCA shelter home and Thelma JRD Tata Anand Kendra Trust were part of the opening ceremony. 

175 individuals including doctors, staff members of Jaslok and other NGOs played the gentleman's game. The orphan kids were seen engaging and cheering for their favorite team. Jaslok Hospital Premier League was seen as a perfect platform to connect with corporate clients and increase bonding among team members.


The teams playing at the premier league were Jaslok Surgical Strikers, BARC Fusion Doc, Jaslok Medical Marvels, Jaslok Champions,  MDLDabangg, Jaslok Avengers, IDBI Gladiators, SCI Sea Hawks, ONGC deep divers, IOCL top gear, AIR India Aviators and UTI challengers. Along with internal doctors and employees, a few NGOs like YMCA shelter home had participated in the cricket match. UTI challengers was the Winning Team they and won ₹24,000, Mr.Jayedeep Bhowal  (UTI Challengers) won the ‘Man of the series’ and won ₹6,000 along with a trophy.

The event shed light on the importance of extracurricular activities along with spreading awareness on work-life balance. It also turned out to be very entertaining for the kids, as they were seen leaving with a broad contagious smile on their face.
