A user by the name @xavvierrrrrr posted a photo from the Adipurush movie and also put up Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s photo on Twitter and wrote, “Didn't know Eknath Shinde was in Adipurush”. He also tagged Shinde’s Twitter handle in his post.
Thane city police took cognizance of the tweet and asked for his contact number to which he replied, “Why sir what's the matter?”. Post this reply, the Thane city police tweeted a number and asked him to call him on that number.
This tweet has received mixed reactions from the netizens. One user @LaljiRanjan wrote that irrespective of any political party, we must respect the title. One of the users wrote that he should call the Thane city police who will confirm with him if CM was in the movie or not. Some have asked him to delete the tweet and apologise, while some are demanding action against the user.
