According to the latest reports, a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) sanitation worker, Kunchikorve Mashanna Ramappa (50) appeared for the Maharashtra Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam 2022 and was able to crack the same in his first attempt.
Based on accounts, Ramappa scored 54, 57, 54, 52, 53, and 59 in Marathi, Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science and Social Science respectively.

It has been reported that he works in the civic body's sanitation department in the B ward. Ramappa has reportedly been working with the BMC as a sweeper for over 20 years now. Moreover, three years before the exam he enrolled in Dharavi's Universal Night School in grade eight to prepare.
During his conversation with news agency ANI, Ramappa elaborated on how attained 57 per cent by studying for three hours daily. He added that he wishes to continue his studies and finish his grade 12 too. After having attained good marks in the SSC exams, he looks to study further.

Further, he elucidated that every evening after his work hours, he went to school from 7 pm to 8.30 pm. While he was not able to study during his childhood, his children who are graduates now, helped him in his academics.
On the one hand, while he is happy to have cleared his grade 10 board exams, he now wishes to inspire others to take academics seriously.
