Fourteen students from different South Mumbai schools were part of a 394-member team that set a Guinness World record for the longest cookie dunking relay on skates in Belgaum, Karnataka.

The students were felicitated by Maine Pyaar Kiya fame, Bhagyashree at Mahapragya Public School, Kalbadevi. This remarkable feat was accomplished by the 394-member team in October 2017.

The students were trained by Coach Dhwanit Rele, who had been in the business of skating since 1991. The students had to skate in groups of six for half an hour, later dunk a cookie in milk and eat it before tapping the next group who’d do the same. The group from Mumbai participated for almost six hours during the relay that lasted for 24 hours.

The schools which had participated were Mahapragya Public School, St Mary’s School (ICSE), St Xavier’s School, Shakuntala KI Jain High School and St Teresa School.
