According to reports, the owner of MM Mithaiwala, who is also an industrialist, social worker and devotee of Radhe Maa, Manmohan Gupta, died on August 13, 2022.

He was 75 years old and had been ill for a long time. His son, Sanjeev Gupta, who is also the CEO of the company, stated that he died immediately upon reaching home after getting discharged from Lilavati hospital at around 4 am on August 13.

Mumbai-based MM Mithaiwala is well-known juncture for sweets, savouries, lassi, dry fruits and fresh snacks for more than seven decades. It is located in Malad (West) right outside the railway station.

There is a wave of mourning among people related to Rajasthani, Madwari, business, politics and all society. He was survived by his sons Rajiv Gupta, Sanjeev Gupta, Vicky Gupta and brothers Madanmohan Gupta, Brijmohan Gupta, Rajmohan Gupta.

MM Mithaiwala was started as a family catering business in 1946 by Chandrabhan Nathanlal Gupta. It has come a long way since then with its website that helps customers order sweets online and get them delivered.

Their USP remains premium quality Indian sweets made with fresh ingredients and by maintaining top hygiene standards. Deliveries are made within seven working days across India, with each product having a different delivery timeline, depending on the shelf life.
