PANAAH, the annual intercollegiate fest of K.P.B Hinduja College Of Commerce organised a social event on December 1, 2017, at Priyadarshini Park. 

'Play For A Cause' was one of the biggest pre-events organised, supporting the cause of women empowerment on The World AIDS Day. 

The event commenced at 9:30 am in the morning by Ms. Sanjana Ganeshan. She inaugurated the ceremony and handed over the torch to the athletes of the college Venus Khubchandani, Shakti Singh and Riti Bokadia who carried it across the field.The event witnessed contingents in huge numbers participating in track events, human ludo and many other management events. The guests were impressed with the initiative.



Ms. Sanjana Ganeshan said, “I’m really proud to be here and K.P.B.HINDUJA COLLEGE has started with a very good pre-event to the festival "Panaah" because empowerment of women is the need of the hour." She believes in the betterment of the society and women empowerment. She has the vision for a better future.

Ms. Neha Kanabar - founder of UNIMO visited the event as well.She handles a community of across 3,00,000 mothers on social media and works towards women empowerment.

The Vice Principal of the college, Mrs. Jayshree Shetty graced the event and appreciated the efforts of the students.
Dr. AntaraSonawane Sarode the convenor of the festival said, “Structuring the fest from its root is a difficult task but the core team and the Panaah family made it seem so effortless. We did it! This is a very proud moment.” The social event concluded with the distribution of trophies and words of wisdom.

The event went smoothly and it successfully raised ₹51,000 for Navjeevan centre. Navjeevan centre is an NGO initiated in 1994 with the aim of reaching out to sexually exploited women and their children, to motivate and support them to give up their demeaning occupation and work towards integrating them into society. The proceedings from the event will go to Navjeevan center NGO that works for victims of human trafficking and their students’ welfare and aids awareness.

The President of the festival, Mr. Siddharth Jain said, "A woman with a voice is the definition of strong woman. Let us empower them to raise their voice. This is what the whole event was for."

Celebrities like Mohit Madan, Disha Thakur and Fenil Umrigar were present and also participated in the event.
PANAAH is organising a bike rally for the awareness of road safety on December 10, the CSR partner for which is Gulf Oil Lubricants LTD.
