The Maharashtra government has allowed to extend the opening hours of more than 800 hotels and bars until 5 am on New Year’s Eve to cater to customers and partygoers throughout the night. This has also enabled them to enjoy food and drinks during the extended hours.

However, restaurants hosting New Year’s Eve parties on December 31 will be cautioning the customers about the alcohol consumption if they exceed three large drinks, said hotel’s association.

The association’s commitment to responsible bartending, urging patrons to drink responsibly for their own safety.

Additionally, these establishments will offer driver services to customers who may need assistance getting home safely during the celebrations. While valet parking is typically available, they have collaborated with contractors to arrange home drop services for customers unable to drive safely back home.

Considering the stringent police patrolling on 31st night, the provision of paid driver services aims to prevent any potential issues.
