According to the latest reports, a major crisis was averted when a passenger was rescued after he nearly fell in the gap between the train and the platform at Kalyan Railway station while he attempted to board a moving train (DN 13202).

It is owing to the quick action by Railway Protection Force constable Sohanlal Itah, the passenger's life was saved. Based on accounts, on Monday, February 7, the mishap was captured in the CCTV camera of the railway station.

At nearly 3.46 pm, on platform number 4, the passenger while boarding train number 13202 which was the Patna Janta Express train, fell. Due to this, he almost slid down the tracks. On witnessing this, the RPF constable promptly rushed and saved the traveller by pulling him back.

It has been reported that the RPF officials elaborated on how post the incident, the guard halted the train and the traveller was boarded in the train by Itah. However, the officials couldn't take the passengers details.

The chief public relations officer (CPRO) of Central Railways, Shivaji M Sutar took to Twitter to share the CCTV footage of the mishap. Sutar went on to appreciate the RPF and appealed to travellers to not board or de-board a running train.
