During these unforeseen circumstances of Covid19, the poor and the needy people were seen to be suffering the most to get their basic requirements fulfilled and even their livelihood is at risk because they did not have any dwelling place to protect themselves from this hazardous situation.

"Helping hands are holier than praying lips!!"

This circumstances of pandemic gave a better and a deeper meaning to it. People all around the globe contributed towards the society in the small and big ways that they could. Inspired by this the students of BIM department of K. P. B. Hinduja College of Commerce, Mumbai organized a social initiative as a pre-event of the I-Club to contribute to the society by helping the poor and needy people. The Team of I-Club united with Saarthi Foundation and give a helping hand by distributing Food packets, Masks and Sanitizers to the poor and the needy people on 15th November 2020.

Team of  I-Club effortlessly carried out this initiative under the effective guidance of Principal ma’am Dr Minu Madlani, Vice Principal ma'am Dr Antara Sonawane and Convener Dr Shital Mody. It is an honour for the Team of I-Club to have Aeron Fly as the Social partner and helping them in conducting this initiative we also extend a special thanks to The Happy Plate our Food partner for providing us with a healthy, safe and delicious meal with the intention of spreading the joy and also light up people's lives in a small way they could and make this world a better place.

Through this community service, the students could nourish the hunger of nearly 150 individuals. This act of kindness has built a helping nature in the minds of students who have pledged to continue doing such noble cause on regular intervals.

The Convener of I-Club Dr Shital Mody expressed her opinions and perspective by describing the social initiative as "Everybody of us has a responsibility towards society. To carry out this responsibility, in a small way we are trying to contribute to the society by providing the essential requirements of today's pandemic times to the most essential people. I hope those essential items really help them with their well-being".
