POCO X3 is a phone tailored to suit the needs of gaming enthusiasts. Debuting Qualcomm’s newest 700-series 4G+ processor, the Snapdragon 732G that is couple with Kryo 470 octa-core CPU and Adreno 618 GPU. The combination as per Poco will impress even the most demanding gamers.
The phone is also packed with 6000mAh battery which as per Poco will last you two days on a single charge. The handset supports 33W fast charging (out of the box) which not only means that the device can be charged to 100 per cent in 86 minutes. In addition, a mere 30-minute charge will fill it up to 60 per cent.
Poco X3 also has a refresh rate of 120Hz creates an incredibly smooth and responsive experience superior to most flagships on the market.
What was the most interesting part of the launch presentation was the LiquidCool Technology. Poco X3 embeds LiquidCool Technology that will help in "the steady operation and frictionless user experience". What this does is it combines an enlarged copper heat pipe with multiple layers of graphite that work together to reduce the heat of the phone’s processor by up to an additional 6°C.
The phone’s incredible performance is further optimized for gaming thanks to the latest iteration of Game Turbo 3.0, the utility that tunes the phone in accordance with game requirements. Additionally, the phone’s Z-Shocker Haptics ensure superb haptic feedback with over 150 vibration modes for different scenarios.
POCO X3 sports an edge-to-edge 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a powerful combination of a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The company claims that the dynamicSwitch function allows the phone to save power by automatically navigating between 50, 60, 90 and 120Hz depending on the use case and the format of the content displayed on the screen. This allows the phone's refresh rate to go up for high-capacity situations like gaming and down for lighter operations like reading.
The 240hz touch sampling rate further reinforces the phone’s extraordinary display capabilities. POCO X3 boasts 33 per cent faster response than most flagships currently on the market. POCO X3 is also the first phone by the makers that comes with with dual stereo speakers. Meanwhile, the speakers’ ability to self-clean ensures steady operation and unmuffled audio even in the long run.
Coming over to the cameras, POCO X3 sports rear quad-camera system consisting of a 64MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide angle camera, 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
The phone's main camera is a flagship Sony IMX 682 sensor supporting ƒ/1.89 aperture and 1.6μm 4-in-1 Super Pixel and outputting detailed and ultra-clear pictures. The 13MP ultra-wide angle camera boasts a 119° field of view propped up by ƒ/2.2 aperture, while the 2MP macro camera and depth sensor complete the setup offering extra functionality and reinforcing the main lens’ capabilities.
On the front, the device sports an in-screen 20MP camera with ƒ/2.2 aperture and 1.6μm 4-in-1 Super Pixel, ideal for taking unblemished selfies.
For those trying to stand out from the crowd POCO X3 packs a slew of Pro mode features including Cyberpunk mode, Gold Vibes Mode and an all-new AI Skyscaping 3.0 that present new creative ways to brighten up users’ social media feed.
It is available in two colour options - Shadow Grey and Cobalt Blue and three memory variants. The 6GB + 64GB will be available for INR 16,999, while 6GB + 128GB is for INR 18,499 and 8GB + 128GB storage variants for INR 19,999.
It will be available for purchase via Flipkart on 12 noon, 29 September 2020.
With the festive sales round the corner, the smartphone market is likely to explode. Poco too is trying to make its presence felt with this device which is a great addition and a worthy successor to POCO X2.
