188 AED machines to be installed at railway and metro stations

These portable devices are designed to deliver an electric shock to the heart when someone is experiencing a life-threatening arrhythmia. By providing immediate intervention before emergency medical services arrive, AEDs significantly increase the chances of survival for individuals experiencing cardiac arrest.

Public awareness campaigns and initiatives have led to a growing number of AED installations in various public spaces such as airports, shopping malls, schools, and sports facilities. The accessibility and ease of use of these devices have empowered bystanders to act during emergencies, helping bridge the gap between the onset of cardiac arrest and professional medical assistance. As a result, more lives are being saved each day due to timely CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and deployment of AEDs in critical situations.
