Amar Mahal bridge suffers damage, heavy traffic on Eastern Express Highway

Mumbaikars stop if you are planning to travel along the Eastern Express Highway (EEH). Chembur Amar Mahal bridge joints have been slipped causing a huge problem for the commuters. The bridge has sustained repeated damage time and again. Lane towards Thane is closed and traffic is jammed up to 4 Km.

Currently, the traffic police are at Amar Mahal Junction, to keep the traffic moving along the northbound stretch.

Engineer of Public Welfare Department Chembur, Rajendra Patil said that a aprivate company was informed about the condition of the flyover and the flyover was inspected and the reports were to be submitted within two days. The repair work of the flyover will be started after the inspection report will be presented.
