Two major religious tour packages have been announced by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC), aimed at offering pilgrims a convenient and culturally enriching experience. Special attention has been given to sacred destinations such as Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj, as well as multiple Jyotirlinga sites across the country.

One of the packages, titled Ayodhya–Prayagraj with Kashi Vishvanath Jyotirlinga Yatra, has been scheduled for departure on August 14, 2025, from Dadar, Mumbai. The journey is being organized via Train No. 01027 using a second AC chartered coach. A return journey has been arranged on Train No. 01026. A total of 44 second AC seats have been allocated for this exclusive spiritual journey. The tour has been designed as an 8-night and 9-day experience, with hotel accommodations, daily meals, air-conditioned bus transport for sightseeing, and travel insurance being provided. The cost for the all-inclusive package has been fixed at ₹34,700 per person (triple sharing basis). Assistance throughout the journey will be offered by professional tour escorts.

Key pilgrimage sites in Varanasi, including the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Sankat Mochan Mandir, Tulsi Manas Mandir, and Sarnath, are to be visited. In Ayodhya, stops at Ram Janmabhumi, Lakshman Ghat, and Hanuman Garhi have been included. The Prayagraj segment will feature a visit to the sacred Triveni Sangam and nearby holy sites. The trip has been curated to deliver an in-depth spiritual experience for devotees.

A separate initiative titled the Ashta Jyotirlinga Shravan Special Yatra has also been introduced by IRCTC’s West Zone. Departures for this package have been scheduled from Solapur on July 19 and from Madgaon on August 5, 2025. The tour will be conducted aboard the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train and has been planned specifically for the holy month of Shravan. These efforts have been undertaken to make religious travel more accessible, affordable, and enjoyable. According to senior IRCTC officials, both journeys have been curated to provide pilgrims with a well-rounded spiritual experience combined with cultural immersion and travel comfort.
