Imagine being in a bus and realising that the driver has no clue of the way. This is what the passengers of one of the BEST busses had to experience yesterday. The passengers were on-board route no 88 which plies from Mantralaya to Pratiksha Nagar.
En-route the driver started going off the route and it is then that the fellow passengers especially a senior citizen raised an objection. The woman along with the other passengers then helped the BEST driver to get back on track and ensure everyone got dropped where they wanted to.
A few commuters lodged a complaint with BEST. The official spokesperson talking to Times of India said, “The issue has been forwarded to the senior official who will be taking appropriate action/s”.
It is not clear whether the driver was new to that route or BEST services itself. There are also chatter on discussion forums that this is not something out of ordinary and from time to time Bus drivers divert from their routes. Have you ever experience this?
