By the end of the year, one will be able to book parking lots online in South Mumbai at Eros Cinema, Crawford Market, Flora Fountain, and four others.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is planning to develop a mobile phone application similar to the railway ticket-booking app to help citizens locate parking spaces hassle-free. To develop the app, the BMC has invited expressions of interest (EOI) from companies. With the help of this app, the user will be able to book available parking slots at any time in advance.

Also, the user will be able to pay parking charges online and reserve the space by displaying the e-invoice at the parking lot. Though Larsen & Toubro approached the civic body to develop the application and take the parking system online, the BMC decided to keep the tendering process fair and competitive, hence they will be inviting EOI.
