While keeping in mind the safety of millions of passengers travelling on Central Railway every day, the railway authorities have decided to increase the security on three terminals along with six stations with the help of Railway Protection Force (RPF). This will help to discipline the increasing crowd at railway premises.

The railways have increased the security at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharashtra Terminus (CSMT), Dadar Terminus, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus along with other six stations. In this regard, the railway administration has prepared a proposal which will be implemented within one year.

On Central Railway (CR), there are 78 stations through which almost 43 lakh commuters travel every day. For the safety of the passengers, along with the RPF, Government Railway Force (GRP) and Maharashtra Protection Force (MPF) have been deployed.
